Every GBO rug is made to order, by hand, over several weeks. Before you invest in a piece for your space, we’ll send you the real materials — the jute, the wool, the exact colourway — so you can see it in your own light, against your own floors, before production begins.

A genuine offcut of the jute and wool yarns used in that piece, sized to show texture, weave, and colour accurately — not a printed sample.
Place it in the room, check it against your existing furniture and light at different times of day.
If you go ahead with the full rug, the swatch cost comes straight off the price.
Because our rugs are made to order in India and Nepal by hand, using traditional weaving, embroidery, and braiding techniques, they can’t be mass-produced or held in ready stock — and once production begins, we can’t offer a return. A swatch lets you make that decision with real material in hand, not a photo on a screen.
